Colorado Art Education Association 2012 Juried Exhibition
Colorado Art Educators showcase their talents at this Annual Call for Entry representing some of the best works throughout the state of Colorado.
The jurors for this show are:
Scott Lary. A commercial Art Director and mixed media sculpture artist working in various materials including metal, wood, clay and found objects. He is a board member for the Design Council, a support group for the Department of Architecture, Design & Graphics at the Denver Art Museum.
Alvin Pagdanganan Gregorio who was born in Los Angeles, California to parents who emigrated from the Philippines after the former President Ferdinand Marcos declared martial law in April of 1974. Gregorio has spent his adult life pursuing the expression of immigration, disintegration of family, violence & war, religion, spirituality, and the defense mechanisms used to contain these issues. Gregorio’s work includes drawing, painting, audio, installation, sculpture and performance.
Gregorio received his Master’s of Fine Arts from Claremont Graduate University in 2000; then conducted research in the Philippines in 2000-01 as a Fulbright Scholar. His work has been exhibited/collected worldwide. He is currently an Assistant Professor and Area Coordinator-Drawing & Painting at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
